Fund Announces Personnel Moves
August 09, 2010
The Fund for Our Economic Future is pleased to announce two new staff members and the appointment of current staff members Chris Thompson and Ashley Basile to the newly created position of director of funder and regional engagement and finance and operations associate, respectively.
Joining the Fund are Bethia Burke, manager of emerging initiatives, and Colette Taylor, support coordinator. Burke will join the Fund in August 24. Taylor can be reached at 216-456-9800.
In announcing these new positions, Fund President Brad Whitehead said the Fund aims to help build the region’s capacity to sustain economic revitalization over the long term through its support of Advance Northeast Ohio, the region’s economic competitiveness agenda.
“As the strategies and initiatives of Advance Northeast Ohio take hold throughout the region, the Fund can best support the agenda by continuing to help align and focus philanthropy and other stakeholders in Northeast Ohio around the agenda’s priorities. These additions and personnel moves will better enable us to do that,” said Whitehead.
As director of funder and regional engagement, Thompson will work with fund members, partners and other regional stakeholders to broaden and deepen support for Advance Northeast Ohio, the region’s economic competitiveness agenda. He has served as director of marketing, communications and civic outreach for the Fund since February 2007 and will continue to oversee the Fund’s communications and marketing efforts.
The Fund will be hiring a communications manager to enhance the Fund’s internal and external communications. The job description is available here.
Whitehead emphasized that the personnel changes are being done within the Fund’s operating budget.
