July 20, 2010
The Fund is happy to announce the addition of Support Coordinator Colette Taylor to its team. Taylor will handle administrative and operational duties including facilitating and scheduling meetings, assisting with fundraising and community outreach activities, and managing records and financials for the organization.
“I am excited to begin working with the Fund on its efforts to strengthen the region and make it more competitive. I look forward to applying the knowledge I have gained through working with Northeast Ohio economic development organizations over the last several years to my new role,” said Taylor.
Taylor’s recent positions include serving as program manager for Entrepreneur’s Edge, an organization that enhances economic development in the region through innovation and entrepreneurship, and as membership director with the Northeast Ohio Software Association which is now the COSE Technology Network. Taylor also worked with Northeast Ohio’s Nano-Network to plan a business competition that recognized top nanotechnology ideas from around the world as well as in sales for a local IT firm.
Taylor graduated from the Cleveland Bridge Builders program in 2004 and her current civic involvement includes volunteering with the Consortium of African American Organizations and serving as board vice president for Cleveland’s Art House, Inc.
“We are pleased to add Colette as support coordinator,” said Mike Shafarenko, the Fund’s manager of operations and finance. “With the wealth of knowledge in the economic development arena she brings to her position, she will be an important contributor to the Fund’s work from day one.”
