Consortium will address harm caused by suburban sprawl

The Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium (NEOSCC), a nonprofit coalition of 32 local and regional government and nonprofit agencies and foundations, will release a report on Northeast Ohio's land use in June. The report will examine the region's challenges caused by outward migration from urban centers to distant suburbs, plus the implications for everything from affordable housing to transit, energy and the environment. NEOSCC is funded by a $4.25 million federal planning grant and received funding from the Fund for Our Economic Future.
